I have installed comment spam filtering software which should obviate the need to permit comments only by registered users. Accordingly, I have removed that restriction. You may now post comments without logging in (by clicking the “comments” link at the bottom of a post). Note that many blog features are available only when you are logged in. You must log in to edit your user profile or submit a blog post.
Let me know if you experience any problems.

I’ve created a blog for everyone that has had to fight comment spam.

I did the same thing but got the email with the API key before actually creating a wordpress.com blog.
