The Smoking Gun has obtained a copy of the Vice President’s “tour rider.”
Cheney is no pop diva: He requires only that hotels maintain a 68-degree room temperature, equip his suite with decaffeinated coffee and Sprite, and turn on room lights before his arrival. Although he insists that all television sets be pre-tuned to Fox News, the Vice President also requests copies of liberal rags such as The New York Times and the Washington Post.
At least Cheney reads the paper. I somehow doubt that the President’s rider contains a newspaper clause.
For her part, Mrs. Cheney requires Calistoga or Perrier bottled water.
The Perrier irony was not lost on The Smoking Gun’s editors.
