Why We Send Our Kids to a Parochial School, Reason 876

We love our kindergartener’s school. This occurred at a magnet school, one of a group of “top tier” facilities in the St. Louis City public school system.
The renaissance occurring in St. Louis City is amazing, but the city will never thrive until it completely revamps its deplorable public school system.

you do realize that (at least at the time of my attendance, and graduation) Rockwood school district and Parkway school district (St Louis county, not city, I admit) regularly vie for 1st and 2nd place in top (public) schools in the country.

I realize that. As we live in the city, we don’t have the option of good public schools.
