Taking the Good with the Bad

There are pros and cons to hosting your own Internet servers. On the plus side, for example, you may configure your network and server software to your heart’s content. On the other hand, it’s no fun when someone plugs a vacuum cleaner into your UPS and takes down your whole network.
Everything should be back up now.

That’s classic, really. Thanks Chris. (reminds me of the time a contracter for SBC tripped over a power cord in our NOC in KC, and killed power to an entire rack.)
